STRAYS 2017-07-22T01:07:28+00:00

THESE dogs are not up for adoption

Any dogs that are brought to the Shelter by the Animal Control officer or Law enforcement personnel are the property of the County.  The owners must make contact with the Sheriff’s Dept. , possibly pay a fine, or make a court appearance prior to release of their dog.

Law enforcement may not be able to immediately release the dog and the dog will remain at the shelter in a safe and warm environment.

Adopt A Dog personnel can not  release the dogs to the owners.  After a statutory holding period, unclaimed dogs may released to Adopt a Dog for potential adoption.
